In Celebration of the Mess

Life can get messy. We stumble, we fall, we fail. And, out of the messyness, we learn. If we do not allow some degee of messyness in our lives, we take no risks.

A client who had a hard time entering her studio because it was “such a disorganized mess,” has now come to appreciate that her work is to create some order, and some meaning, out of the mess. Many dilemmas start with a feeling of a mess. We have to do the sorting work, the discriminating, in order to find harmony. Order and chaos, in a way, need each other in order to help clarify what must be attended to.

in the spring time winds, the air brings change and growth. Seeds are planted, clearing and cleaning take place. Where in your own life are these ideas working on you?
