Trust Your Gut

Yesterday, someone came to see me to talk about a recent re-convening of a relationship. She was very confused about it. Was it the right thing, was it the wrong thing? “My head is saying one thing and my heart is saying something else, ” she said. This was an indication to me that neither one of these places was going to help her to make a clear decision. “Let’s move down into your gut, ” I said. She closed her eyes and breathed, placing her hand on her belly. Just breathing and witnessing for awhile, she found the “knot.”
As she continued to stay there, becoming teary, exploring further, the knowing in her, her own truth emerged out of the confusion. She could not only hear herself, but she could trust her body’s knowing.
